About the Author
Jeanette Griver is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Compsych Systems, Inc., a human factors corporation that specializes in the fields of communication and problem solving. In 1988, Griver published her first book, Applied Problem Analysis Plus, a problem solving book for people in business and the professions, which was based on communication and problem solving techniques presented to over 50,000 people in workshops and seminars on three continents. She is the co-creator of Motivated Learning Through Structured Feedback, a technique designed to accelerate the learning process.
She is the auther of Oh No! Not Another Problem: A Practical Approach to Solve Day-to-Day Problems, which appeared on the Los Angeles Times paperback, non-fiction bestseller list for 27 weeks in 2000-2001. In 2001 the Library of Congress printed the book in Braille and in 2002 Oh No! Not Another Problem was made into an audio book. It was translated into South Korean by the HanEon Community Company.
In January of 2004, Ms. Griver published Curio a Shetland Sheepdog Meets The Crow - a warm and educational story for children and adults. In May, 2005 she published Curio a Shetland Sheepdog and Friends - a Story of Change For Children of All Ages. In 2006, the book was published and translated in Spanish by Panorama Editorial in Mexico for Latin American Territories. Curio's adventures continue in Curio a Shetland Sheepdog and her pals published in 2007.
Ms. Griver received her B.A. in Psychology from the College of Letters and Science at the University of California at Los Angeles and her M.A. in Human Factors Psychology from the College of Letters and Science at the University of Southern California. She resides at home in Pacific Palisades, California with her 2-year old Sheltie, Merula.
